The Central East Prevention and Cancer Screening Program supports primary care providers with quality improvement work with a focus on improving cancer screening participation as well as patient experience. 

A variety of tools and resources to engage patients in cancer screening have been developed and are available for download below.


Maximize the wall space!  A variety of posters for waiting rooms, elevators, TV screens, exam rooms and common areas with key messages about cancer screening.  Looking for something a little more personalized?  Contact the Prevention and Cancer Screening team for support creating a custom look.

Patient Reminders

There are many ways to remind your patients that they are over due for cancer screening.  Here are some templates for patient letters, emails, telephone scripts, social media content and scripts for recorded messages.

Your Regional Cancer Program is looking for partners in primary care to assist in leading preventative health improvements. Do you have an idea to help drive quality improvement?  Contact us for in-kind support with project management, resource design, data analysis etc.

Colon Cancer Check (November 20, 2020 from 12-1pm)
