Paediatrics
The Paediatric program at Lakeridge Health provides inpatient care and day surgery in addition to a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), a Neonatal Follow-up Clinic, Paediatric Cardiac Clinic and a Feeding and Swallowing Clinic.
We believe parents or caregivers are critical to the wellness of their children. That's why our new inpatient unit offers 14 bright and spacious single rooms, giving parents the opportunity to stay with their children 24 hours a day.
Our paediatric day surgery program supports children who require minor surgical procedures. Some children go home after surgery while others stay on our inpatient unit.
Families with children facing a serious illness, requiring major surgery or paediatric intensive care often seek treatment at The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto. Our team works in conjunction with Sick Kids to provide the best possible care. When your child is ready, we welcome them back to Oshawa so your family can receive ongoing care close to home.
Our controlled access unit provides a safe environment for your child until they are well enough to go home.
If your child will be admitted to hospital and you have questions please do not hesitate to contact us.
