Oculoplastics is a type of surgery involving the eyelids, tear ducts and face.

Cataract Surgery and Occuplastics are offered at our Eye Care Centre at our Bowmanville site.

Retinal Surgery

Retinal Surgery is used to treat conditions affecting the highly specialized tissues lining the innermost portion of the eye. The retina contains millions of specialized photoreceptor cells called rods and cones that convert light rays into electrical signals that are transmitted to the brain through the optic nerve.

Retinal surgeons specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of a large variety of conditions such as macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and retinal detachments.
