Outbreak on Oshawa Hospital's OC7 Unit Now Over (April 9)

In consultation with the Durham Region Health department, Lakeridge Health has declared the outbreak of COVID-19 over. An outbreak was declared on the OC7 unit at Oshawa Hospital on April 1 after one patient and a team member tested positive for COVID-19 in the affected inpatient unit. Out of an abundance of caution, we continue to closely monitor patients in OC7. We are grateful for the team’s hard work, commitment and dedication to ensuring the continued safety of patients and team members during this unprecedented time. At this time, the unit is fully operational and back to regular operations.
