Heart Month events happening in Durham Region and Scarborough, as well as virtually, will raise heart health awareness

DURHAM REGION (February 3, 2023) – The Central East Regional Cardiovascular Rehab Program is putting its whole heart into Heart Month events this year, as they bring back their well-loved community clinics to local malls in Durham Region and Scarborough for the first time since before the pandemic. They will also be holding virtual education sessions, featuring cardiologists and cardiovascular experts speaking on several heart health topics. From living a heart-healthy lifestyle to finding out if you are at risk for heart disease and more, community members are invited to come out, participate, and learn at Heart to Heart events throughout February.

Heart to Heart Community Clinics at local malls (Saturdays)

Community clinics will be held throughout February at local malls in Pickering, Oshawa, and Scarborough. Community members will have the chance to meet with staff from the regional cardiovascular rehab program and get a checkup on their heart health. Staff will be performing blood pressure tests, providing consultations on heart disease risk factors, and offering education on improving heart health.
