We understand many Durham Region community members in Ajax and Pickering hotspot locations are interested in receiving the COVID-19 vaccine. This morning, there was a limited number of appointments to match the amount of available vaccine for our Ajax Community Centre Pop-up Vaccination clinic. The demand for the vaccine greatly outpaced the supply. We confirm that the process to book an appointment for the vaccine continues to be first come, first served.
If you were notified that you are on the waitlist through email, please be patient. In the event of a cancellation or when new vaccine doses are available, you will receive another email confirming your appointment.
If you received an email saying that we were unable to book you for an appointment, you will need to resubmit your application when more vaccines become available.
Please continue to monitor our social media sites and regularly check the Durham Vaccine Appointment website for upcoming appointment openings. There will be additional pop-up vaccination clinics communicated by Durham Region Public Health in the near future.
