Lakeridge Health is Calling for Input

Telephone Town Halls will be Collecting Valuable Information from across Durham Region

Durham Region – As Lakeridge Health evolves as a five-hospital regional system of acute care, it must ensure it can meet the health care needs of the communities it serves today and into the future. To help guide how and where health care services will be delivered over the next 20 years and beyond, Lakeridge Health is developing a Master Plan, which is a roadmap for the future of acute care delivery in Durham Region.

Significant consultation is underway to collect insights from patients and families, people who live and work in Durham Region, health care partners, along with staff members, physicians, volunteers and others who are interested in the future of the regional system of acute care. To complement this process, two telephone town halls are planned to seek input from thousands of local residents.  Ten thousand Durham Region households will be randomly called directly to participate and all residents can register to join the conversation by phone or online.

Town halls will feature Lakeridge Health President and CEO, Matthew Anderson and Chief of Staff, Dr. Tony Stone and will be hosted by Jerry Archer from KX96.
