Lung Surgery (Thoracic)

Thoracic Surgery is used to help treat diseases as well as injury to the lungs, esophagus and chest. The most common reasons people require thoracic surgery include lung cancer, esophageal cancer and hiatus hernia or reflux.

At Lakeridge Health, we're home to the Central East Regional Thoracic Program where our highly skilled surgical experts provide comprehensive thoracic surgery care, including small incision or minimally invasive operations, for the entire region at our Oshawa site.

Do you think you may have lung or esophageal cancer?

The Central East Regional Thoracic Program partners with the Thoracic Diagnostic Assessment Program to provide patients with a suspicion of lung and esophageal cancer timely access to diagnosis and treatment, close to home.

Our clinics are located across the region, including Peterborough, Oshawa and Scarborough. Learn more about the Thoracic Diagnostic Assessment Program.
