Joint Assessment Clinic

Our Joint Assessment Clinic is available for people who require medical treatment or surgery to help manage joint pain from arthritis and for those who have had difficulty moving their hip or knee for some time.

We partner with the Oshawa Clinic to offer family physicians a quick and easy way to refer their patients for an assessment. Our unique clinic model is located at the Taunton Surgical Centre location of the Oshawa Clinic, and offers a physician as the first point of contact and specialized services such as x-ray and physiotherapy, all in one location.

Your referral will be sent to us and you will be scheduled for an appointment. At your appointment, an orthopedic surgeon will assess you and make recommendations about how to help you. This may include surgery or other treatment.

If you're a candidate for surgery, you will be referred to an orthopedic surgeon based on the next available appointment or a surgeon of your choice. If you do not require surgery, your family physician will receive recommendations for how best to manage your joint pain or mobility issues.

Ask your family doctor if our clinic is right for you.

The Lakeridge Health Joint Assessment Clinic is located at the Taunton Surgical Centre, 1300 Keith Ross Dr. in Oshawa. For more information, contact 905-576-8711 ext. 3243.
