Changes To Our Telephone Extensions

Posted on Friday May 03, 2019

On Tuesday, May 7 at 12 p.m., Lakeridge Health telephone extensions are changing to five-digits. The new extensions are part of a new telephone system the organization has rolled out, providing a stronger, more reliable telecommunications network.

This means all Lakeridge Health phone extensions have moved from four-digits to five digits:

  • For Ajax Pickering Hospital numbers, please add the number ‘1’ before the four-digit extension you are trying to reach.
  • For Bowmanville Hospital numbers, please add the number ‘2’ before the four-digit extension you are trying to reach.
  • For Oshawa Hospital numbers, please add the number ‘3’ before the four-digit extension you are trying to reach.
  • For Port Perry Hospital numbers, please add the number ‘4’ before the four-digit extension you are trying to reach.
  • For Whitby Hospital numbers, please add the number ‘5’ before the four-digit extension you are trying to reach.

For example, if a caller is phoning an office at Bowmanville Hospital and the four-digit extension is #1234, with the new five-digit extension it becomes #21234.

If you are having difficulty at any time during the call, press zero for Switchboard.

Thank you for your patience as we improve our telephone system.
