Lakeridge Health’s Board of Trustees Seeking New Members

The Lakeridge Health Board of Trustees is looking for dynamic, accomplished individuals with senior- or executive-level experience and diverse talents to join for the 2021/22 fiscal year. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a team that provides overall governance to one of Ontario’s largest community health systems serving Durham Region and beyond.

Guided by the organization’s vision – One System. Best Health – the Board of Trustee’s role is to ensure overall quality of care provided to patients and families while advancing improvements to the health and wellness of the population we serve.

Our Board of Trustees is a diverse, passionate, and committed group of community leaders with a broad range of knowledge, skills, and experience. Successful applicants will be expected to assume leadership roles, participate as team players, contribute to the ongoing development of a regional health care network, and have knowledge of and be committed to the advancement of the hospital and health care system.

To complement the Board’s current membership, priority will be given to individuals who have skills in the following areas:

  • Clinical
  • Long-term care
  • Construction
  • Project management
  • Labour relations
  • Health care administration and policies
  • Information technology
  • Legal and volunteer management

Guided by the organization’s Inclusion, Diversity and Equity Engagement (IDE) Framework, the Board seeks to ensure that members are reflective of the communities we serve. Accordingly, preference will be given to candidates with specific attributes: is an Indigenous person, is female and resides in Oshawa.
