- All official Lakeridge Health social media accounts are managed by members of the Lakeridge Health Communications department. Official accounts can be accessed on the top right corner of the Lakeridge Health website (www.lakeridgehealth.on.ca).
- The Communications department can be contacted directly at 905.576.8711 ext. 4317 or communications@lakeridgehealth.on.ca.
- Lakeridge Health does not support social media content that harasses, demeans or abuses individuals or groups of persons, nor does Lakeridge Health support or endorse specific products or services for sale.
- We encourage all persons to participate and interact with the organization through social media accounts. However, in the interest of respecting all persons, Lakeridge Health reserves the right to remove social media posts by particiipants that:

- Endorse a product or service
- Spam (i.e. chain letters)
- Humiliate, bully or otherwise offend other parties
- Are defamatory or libellous
- Lakeridge Health may choose to network with other social media accounts. Unless otherwise specified, networking (i.e. following, liking, etc.) with another account does not represent the endorsement or support of said account’s comments, businesses or services.
- Lakeridge Health social media accounts are not to be used for medical emergencies or diagnoses. The organization does not recommend the posting of personal health information or identifying information on social media accounts.
- Lakeridge Health reserves the right to monitor social media posts that mention or refer to the hospital.
- Comments made on social media posts may not be responded to immediately. Official hours of operation of social media accounts are 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. EST.
- All colleagues (physicians, staff, volunteers) of Lakeridge Health who choose to participate on social media platforms are expected to do so in a manner that is fair and professional. More information on Lakeridge Health’s social media policy will be posted shortly.
