DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reporting to the Manager of Applications, Information Technology, the Applications Consultant provides support, implementation and regular updates of computerized application systems for assigned modules; SAP/SRM, Billing and Accounts Receivable, GL, CA FA, MM, AP, Payroll, Staff Scheduling, Abstracting, Admissions, Medical Records, MIS, MOX and Array Task+.  You will be responsible for; creating, updating and maintaining dictionaries and menus; providing computer training at all sites;  preparing custom reports utilizing NPR Report Writer and other reporting tools assisting computer operations within programs;  collaborating with various members of the healthcare team to optimize the use of applications software to meet strategic objectives;  analysis, design,
testing and implementation of new software;  monitoring and troubleshooting issues with various departments; providing coverage for other applications as required and other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Degree in computer related field or equivalent education and related experience within a healthcare environment;
  • proven extensive knowledge of healthcare computer systems, preferably with Meditech Financials, SAP Requisitioning, Admissions, Medical Records, Abstracting, MIS, MOX and Array Task+;
  • knowledge and understanding of financial and administrative processes;
  • proven technical competence with troubleshooting and analyzing software/processes;
  • effective project management, planning, detail oriented and organizational skills;
  • demonstrated effective communication, interpersonal skills being customer focused;
  • proven ability to work independently and in team-oriented environment;
  • knowledge of the principles of adult education and teaching/learning skills;
  • knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws;
  • demonstrated understanding of and commitment to Lakeridge Health's comprehensive safety programs and practices including staff, patient and environmental safety with participation in regular in-service education sessions; and
  • must provide a positive Canadian Police Information Centre Criminal Record Synopsis.
